Ian & Enakshi's Hindu / Christian Wedding

Last Saturday Ian and Enakshi were married outdoors by a Hindu Priest and a Reverend from the United Church. While Linda was shooting Kim and Aaron's wedding, I was shooting for Ian and Enakshi. Their ceremony was visually stunning, and beautifully incorporated both faiths.

I have learned so much about this couple through our first meeting, engagement session, and through stories shared by friends and family on their wedding day. They are a gentle, soft-spoken pair who met at dance class. You should see them on the dance floor; incredible...who knew! They literally floated through their first dance. I would l love to watch all over again.

Ian and Enakshi, you are a well matched lovely couple! It was an honour to shoot your wedding! Thank you again for the privilege. Linda and I wish you much joy and happiness...Judy

English Bay Engagement Session with Ashley and Chris

With an engagemen session at English Bay you most expect to see pictures on the beach. It is beautiful and we did get some of those, but Ashley and Chris also wanted urban.

The English Bay area is full of beautiful unusual photo op locations. We wandered around town and got some amazing pictures.

Congrats Ashley and Chris!

Kim and Aaron Married in Agassiz

Kim and Aaron were married July 11, 2009 in Agassiz at the beautiful Fraser River Fishing Lodge. The backdrop the mountains provided for the photos was absolutely breath-taking.

Kim and Aaron are both avid fishermen, so their choice of venue was very fitting. Kim will be trashing her dress very soon, so keep reading to catch those pics.

Jen and Adam : Married on the 4th of July!

Jen and Adam tied the knot July 4th! While Linda was on location in Vancouver, shooting a wedding, I was on location in Langley shooting Jen and Adam's wedding. I have been looking as forward to this day as much as I have grown fond of the couple.

Throughout their engagement we have met with them multiple times. Our last meeting was for a bridal session, (which Linda and I highly recommend)!

Bridal sessions afford our brides the luxury of time for a relaxing photo shoot prior to their wedding day. It's an opportunity to slip into your gorgeous gown, try out your hair and make up and take the time (often not available on your wedding day) for an exclusive bridal session. Although Jen did not need to practice grace and poise, (as it comes naturally to her), a friendship grew.

Here is a little peek at some of her and Adam's day. All the best to you both!

Jen's Awesome Bridal Session

I've been itching to post these pictures for the past 5 weeks. Jen wanted to do a bridal session, but of course Adam hadn't seen her in the dress yet, so we couldn't post any pics.

Jen and Adam were also married on the 4th of July. Judy photographed their wedding while I was photographing Suzie and Gordon's. Will be posting Jen and Adam's wedding pics soon, so check back!

Suzie and Gordon also Married on The 4th of July

Suzie and Gordon were married yesterday which just happened to be the 4th of July. It was a beautiful warm sunny summer day. The wedding took place at the Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club followed by pictures at the always lovely VanDusen Gardens.

Suzie and Gordon are very fortunate to have so many long time friends able to come to the wedding. She grew up in Alberta and many of her friends and family are still there. Unfortunately her father was ill and recovering from back surgery and was unable to attend. Her brothers stepped up and escorted Suzie down the aisle.

Their bridal party consisted of guys and gals totalling 14 (one of the largest bridal parties to date).

Congratulations Suzie and Gordon. Enjoy the rest of your life together!

The guys showed me a new move. It's called "The Salmon".

Facebook Fanpage

I've had a Facebook Fanpage for a while for Westside Photography, but they way Facebook is set up it's off the beaten path.

A few have found it by chance (such as Sage). Click on the image to make it larger and read her comment she left when she found out about us. I was so excited to shoot her wedding this past weekend.

Sage and Ryan are Married!

Sage and Ryan were married at the Minoru Chapel in Richmond, BC. I have a fondness for this chapel since it was where I was also married. Sage and Ryan were married there exactly 9 years and 1 day after I was.
It was a great wedding and unique in the fact that I knew quite a few of the groomsmen and guests. Ryan and I went to high school together, but didn't find this out until Sage drug him to the consultation. Sage had found us on Facebook and I had been coordinating with her.
Sage is a stunning bride and Ryan's not too shabby either. :) She had a beautiful dress with exquisite detail.
What a happy day!

Adelle and Jeremy Married in Kelowna!

Adelle and Jeremy were married at the Cedar Creek Winery in Kelowna. It was a gorgeous weekend. I haven't been to Kelowna for YEARS. What a treat. Thanks for being so awesome to work with.

Krista and Jason's Engagement Session

Krista and Jason are getting married this coming October. We did their engagement session down at Jericho Beach. It was a lovely romantic evening. The only thing missing for them was the bottle of wine.

Here are some shots from a Sikh Pre-Wedding Ceremony I had the honour of photographing.
