Winter Engagement Session

Erin and Martin are snowboarders and skiers, so we decided to do their engagement session on Mt. Seymour in the snow. The problem was that even though it's December... there wasn't any snow! We still had a great session and managed to stay ahead of the fog that was chasing us. Congrats Erin & Martin and I look forward to photographing your wedding!

Trimming the Tree

Trimmed our tree tonight and I pulled out one of my favourite lenses. The Canon 85 1.2. This lens can capture extreme low light images without having to be confined to a tripod. This is my little guy Jacob. At 4 years old the beauty of the lights is mesmerizing.

Another extreme low light shot and a pensive look. Some of you know I am looking forward to my new main camera... the Canon 5D Mk II. This camera paired with my 85 1.2 will be able to shoot in even lower light with less noise.

Brothers

Shooting siblings is a lot of fun. I love to capture the interaction between them. These two little guys were hard to catch, so we let them run off some of their energy first. The session included scaling fences and climbing trees. :) I've got two little boys, so I can totally relate.

Urban Engagement Shoot

Had so much fun today shooting in our beautiful city. Vancouver is full of great photo spots around every corner. Jen and Adam are getting married next July and wanted a little something different for their session. They decided to be bold and go urban. I think it was the right choice!

Tricia & Rich's Engagement Photos

Today we phtographed Tricia and Rich down at Granville Island. We had a great time and even were invited on an improptu water taxi ride. What fun! I'm super excited for these two and you can see just how in love they are... beautiful!

What Could Be More Fun?

What could be more fun that two cute little girls and a pile of puppies?? One of my long time Christmas card clients had me photograph her girls this year for her Christmas cards. She had a great idea to photograph them with their new litter of puppies. We got lots of cutie pie shots!

Mike and Jasmin's Wedding

Mike and his beautiful bride Jasmin were married this weekend. I am so happy for them. It was a beautiful wedding at the Minoru Chapel where I was also married 8 years ago. The reception was at the Hart House Restaurant and was very yummy! Congrats guys!!

A Happy Day

Tom and Antoinette are another couple that found me online from abroad (they're from Ireland). It was a pleasure to meet them and be a part of their special day. It was a small and intimate wedding with a few of the guests also travelling all the way from Ireland. Antoinette looked stunning as a bride should on her wedding day.

The Two Blondies

Here are some photos from today's family shoot. Their youngest daughter is in my son's playschool class. The girls loved their picture being taken which made my job a lot easier! Got tonnes of great shots in one of my favourite places down by Crescent Beach.

Nic and Echo's Engagement Session

Nic and Echo travelled from Victoria to finalize their wedding photography and shoot their engagement session. We wandered through Central Park in Burnaby. The squirrels in the park are quite tame, but unfortunately Nic was bitten by one of them that thought his finger was a peanut! Nic, I hope you're taking care of that finger! OUCH!

More Babies!

Well, I've been pretty lucky lately with getting to photgraph new babies. Here is a beautiful 6 week old little man. Be sure to inquire about my unique birth announcements when scheduling your babies portraits.

New Baby!

I photographed Joanne and her older children a few weeks ago. I don't think I blogged about it at the time, but I've now added some pics below.
The baby is here! New babies grow so fast. If you are thinking about photographing your newborn you should try to do it within the first few weeks of life. These little ones change so fast you'll treasure pictures such as this forever. Thanks Joanne for letting me hug that new baby! She's adorable.

Before Baby

It's Been a Long Time...

... since I've had a great portrait of myself. Judy worked her magic and here I am!
PS my name is Linda

Meet Judy!

Meet my assistant / 2nd shooter, Judy (and her family). She joined the company this past wedding season. Her assistance has been a life saver in creating and capturing some killer shots.
Judy is currently studying digital photography at Langara College. Now I just need her to take some pics of me to post!

House of Little Ones

Ahhhhhh... 4 children all 5 and under! I photographed a family today that is amazing. The kids are absolutely adorable... and just so mom knows... I did get some great pics today. I'm posting one of the funny ones below, but don't worry! There are lots of good ones too. The family pic also turned out great. :)
